best of all worlds #28

Here is the latest best of all worlds podcast… the highlight of this edition has to be the recent Hudson Mohawke release titled “Thunder Bay”… it’s a mental arrangement, but I like it… is it dubstep? is it hiphop?  he has clearly blend together a variety of his influences while making this track… I suppose “fresh” is a good word to use describing this track… the new EP will drop on Warp records in August.

Also in this weeks podcast, new music from Floating Points, the track titled Marilyn from his latest 12 is sounding good… more music from the soon to be released Brownswood Electr*c 2 compilation… music from the recent Laid Back Radio compilation titled All School Flavor Vā€‹1, I completely forgot about this compilation, definitely some great music on it, you must check it out… and finally new music from Ahu, she recently dropped a fantastic track for the ‘Untold Songs: Volume One’ compilation on Jus Like Music… this album was put together in collaboration with Amnesty International to raise awareness for Amnesty’s ‘Stop The Violence Against Women’ campaign, so it’s for a good cause, make sure you buy a copy… you won’t be disappointed with the music.

As usual, loads and loads more, enjoy the podcast…

Thanks for listening,

Cengiz

best of all worlds #27

Rather bit of sad news last week, we have yet lost another true artist… poet, musician, and political activist… R.I.P. Gill Scott-Heron;  his music has been such an inspiration to me over the years… his discography is long, but if I was to name a few of his master pieces; Pieces Of A Man, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised and Winter in America would be on the top of my list… so in tribute to his memory, I’ve dropped a few of my favorite tracks of his in this weeks podcast.

Also in this weeks podcast, a track out of the soon to be released Brownswood Electr*c 2 compilation, new music from Dego on 2000Black, music from Mr. Beatnick, the Synthetes EP is fantastic, and new music from Jaime xx…

All comments good or bad will be appreciated…

Thanks for listening,

Cengiz
