Best of all Worlds.

Kick started this weeks edition with Viktor Lundgaard from Compenhegan, Denmark… track titled Ghlsd, loving the deepness of this tune, definitely needs listening to on a good pair of speakers… thanks for the heads up Dave… the Hot Selection crew big up!  So what else, well although I didn’t feature it in this weeks show, the recently released BBE compilation by dj Spinna titled Strange Games & Funky Things #5 is fantastic.  I’ve discovered some real gems in this compilation, one of which is the track titled Ashley’s Roachclip by The Soul Searchers.  This track is definitely the highlight of this weeks show…

Other bits to watch out for… heavy dub business from Price Fatty on Mr. Bongo records, the Supersize album is out now… a cdr taster from Henry, 1 half of the Sound Species crew… a fantastic Bobby Thurston edit, deep house from Rainer Trueby, and dubstep music from Pangea, taken from the recently released Commix “Re Call To mind” album…

In this weeks edition, I featured a few of my favourites from the newly released Soul Jazz Compilation titled Future Bass.  The compilation includes some quality dub step music from the likes of Mala, Untold, Hary Craze and Ramadanman.  If you’re into your dubstep, definitely a must buy.

Also to watch out for; Izzi Dunn, “Nothing But Love”, Bugz In The Attic on the remix, definitely bringing back some memories from the broken beat days…  Loving that jazzy cut from the Finnish Big Band Jazz…  heavy dance floor tunage from Tonny Lionni on Freesytle Records… and a big tune from Red Rack’Em titled Pressure.  Red Rack’Em has just released his debut album, and I believe the launch party will be taking place in Phonica records this Saturday.  [ Click for the event page ]  Hoping to play some of the album material in the next edition of best of all worlds…

Summer has gone, and the cold, gloomy English weather is right around the corner… but not to worry, the next edition of best of all worlds is ready!  This weeks highlight is the recently released Tokyo Dawn compilation titled, “The Heart”.  The compilation features some fantastic music from the likes of Machinedrum, Swede:art, Jay Scarlett, Simbad, fLako, Comfort Fit and many more…  I managed to squeeze in three tracks from the compilation, hopefully will drop a few more in the next edition.

So what else?  Well, the track titled “Eastern Promise” by the The Natural Yoghurt band is sounding good!  Loving that track by Arp 101 on Eglo records… brand new Aroop Roy, his debut album on Freestyle Records is out in stores now, new music from Hint and a big tune from Marc De Clive Lowe featuring Sy Smith, track titled “Truth” !!!

I also recently stumbled upon this fantastic mix tape by Obenewa, top vocalist who worked with the likes of Gabrielle, Raphael Saadiq and Silhouette Brown, the mix tape features some of her original material as well some instrumentals with her vocals on top.  It is free to download, just follow the links on her myspace  (http://www.myspace.com/obenewa), trust me, definetly worth checking out…
